Current Issues and News

Current and emerging issues and initiatives that will require REBA attention include:
  •    Monitoring new development plans to ensure compatibility with community desires
  •    Proliferation of moorings in Eagle Bay
  •    Opposition to any expansion of existing boat ramp facilities
  •    Weed control and environmental protection
  •    Bush fire mitigation initiatives
  •    Upgrading of car parking areas in Eagle Bay
  •    Provision of an alternative pedestrian access to the beach at the boat ramp
      Liasing with the City of Busselton for provision of commuinty infrastructure and facilities at Eagle Bay

Work on behalf of residents is undertaken by members of the REBA Committee, who are elected each year at the AGM. The personal contribution of Committee members is supplemented by other residents and by engaging town planners , lawyers and other experts on either a pro bono basis or paid for out of REBA funds. Annual membership fees are used to meet day-to-day operating costs and to build a reserve to fund action on major and complex issues to benefit REBA members.
